  • 2 cups of sliced radishes
  • 1 cup of sliced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup of sliced cucumber with seeds

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • One clove garlic

First of all, check the stems of the radishes. If they are intact, trim them off. Wash the radishes and place them aside. Now cut the large-sized radishes into two pieces and leave the small-sized radishes as a whole.

Take a pot and melt two tablespoons of butter in it. Medium-sized pots are preferred for this purpose. Add shallots and thyme and cook for 2 minutes. Check if they are softened by this time. Now add the radishes along with salt and pepper. Add enough water to it so that it will cover the radishes.

Keep heating it until it reaches near the boiling point. Cook it for 3-5 minutes. In case you are using radish tops, add them and heat them for one more minute.

Your next step is to remove the radishes. If you are also using the tops, remove them as well. Place the radishes in a serving dish. Boil the liquid until it is reduced to 1/3 cup.   • ¼ teaspoon of dried parsley or dried dill
