Radish Green Recipe

Many people have no idea that the green leafy part on your radish is edible, so when they cut away the radish, they end up throwing away that nutritious part of it into the trash can. This recipe does not require much of your time, and it is not made up of so many ingredients. The ingredients are cheap and accessible to get in any grocery store close by. Note that this recipe is subject to change depending on the amount of radish soup you want.

Radish Greens Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of Radish leaves
  • Two medium onion or Shallot
  • Two stick of celery
  • 4-5 cloves of Garlic
  • Two Sweet potatoes
  • 1 ½ cup of water or 4 cups of chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of Salt
  • ½ teaspoon of Black pepper

Procedure

  • First, Wash your radish leaves very well to remove the dirt, put them into a bowl, and place them aside.
  • Chop some shallots or onions, and garlic then set them aside.
  • Pour some oil into your pot and allow it to heat. Then, pour the chopped onion and garlic. Stir and allow it to simmer for a while.
  • Add a bit of salt and stir together.
  • Peel the body of the sweet potatoes and chop it into small cubes.
  • Add your chopped sweet potatoes into the mixture in the pot.
  • Then add some water.
  • Cover it up to cook until the potatoes are soft.
  • Then chop your radish leaves into smaller pieces and pour them in.
  • Simmer it for about 5 minutes until the radish leaves get soft, then remove it from the fire and use a hand blender to blend it.
  • After which, add some black pepper into it and dish it out.

If you are using the chicken stock, it is advisable to follow this procedure

Radish Green With Chicken Stock Recipe:

Ingredients

  • Two cups of Radish leaves
  • Two medium onion
  • Two stick of celery
  • 4-5 cloves of Garlic
  • Three Sweet potatoes
  • Parsley to garnish (optional)
  • Four cups of chicken stock
  • ½ teaspoon of Salt
  • ½ teaspoon of Black pepper

Procedure

  • Firstly, peel all your required ingredients down to make it easy for easy usage, and while using this recipe, you are making use of chicken stock instead of water
  • The only difference is if you are making use of chicken stock, you place your potatoes in cold water and boil till they are tender, drain the potatoes, and set them aside.
  • Then combine the potatoes, onions, garlic, and one cup of chicken stock into your food processor.
  • Blend till you get that creamy texture for a smooth soup.
  • Place a pot on the fire and pour the remaining 3 cups of stock, then add the combined potato, garlic, and onion into it.
  • Add salt and black pepper, stir and cover it to let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
  • Add the leaves, then let it cook for another 2-3 minutes
  • Remove it and dish it out.

  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • Pepper (not too much)
  • Chopped fresh garlic
  • Radish green

Procedure

  • Firstly, wash the radish green well to get rid of the dirt in it.
  • Pour your oil into your pan and allow it to heat up.
  • Pour the pepper and stir for a few minutes.
  • Then pour in your radish greens
