Radish plants are known for their tremendous health benefits to the body. It is an herbaceous plant obtained from the family Brassicaceae. They are not limited to one color, but they are known to be mouth-watering when cooked or eaten raw.

After watching various youTube videos online, l finally came up with the idea of making it myself. The fun aspect of this recipe is that the number of ingredients can be used depending on your preferences.

Aside from having health benefits and spicy flavor, radishes are also beautiful. They come in various luscious colors, purple, red, pink, white, and even black. Just know that it wouldn’t be difficult finding them in grocery stores because they always stand out.

How to make roasted radishes right in the comfort of your home.

This is one of the most convenient methods of eating radishes. Asides from the fact that you can snack on them, they also save your time. Unlike other root vegetables like potatoes that take a lot of oven time, roasting radishes do not. Roasting radishes takes 8-10 minutes of oven time.

Just if you require something to spice up your vegetable diet, roasted radishes are the way to go. If you have previously overlooked radishes because of its sour taste, roasting them gets rid of that taste. Below is a recipe that can prepare a sumptuous, crunchy, and spicy roasted radish.

 Ingredients

  •   Vegetable oil (3 table-spoon)
  •   Salt to taste (a pinch)
  •   Pepper (sprinkle little all over it)
  •   Garlic (cut three into smaller pieces and spread around)
  •   Parsley (optional)
  •   1 bunch of radish

Procedure

  •  First of all, trim the radish bunch from top to bottom. Remove all stems ends, keep the vegetables as they can be used in salads.
  •  Wash the radish thoroughly to get rid of any soil attached to it.
  •  Cut the radishes into smaller pieces (any size of your choice: pyramid or circular or square), then pour into a bowl.
  •  Drizzle the oil all over but not too much (you can use a spoon if you don’t want to pour it directly)
  • Add Garlic all over (optional)
  • Sprinkle with a little bit of salt and pepper
  • Then mix with your spoon or hand to make the ingredient reach every part.
  • Then preheat your oven to 425˚F and bring out the ovenproof dish.
  • Place each facing down while spacing them on the pan. Turn them at intervals to prevent uneven browning.
  • Please leave it in the oven for 10 minutes until it’s crisp, tender, and brown. Voila! You can serve it with salad or roasted chicken to go if you want.
